1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Cameron Mostoufi (“Sunglass Genie,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the Sunglass Genie iOS app or this policy and support site.
Sunglass Genie provides relative on-device style guidance and an approximate 2D preview using original Genie Studio templates. It does not identify you, create an identity profile from your face, sell frames, show retailer inventory, or provide a professional fitting service.

3. Information processed on your iPhone
Selected photo
You can take one photo or choose one through Apple’s system photo picker. After you review and approve it, Apple Vision processes the image on your iPhone to locate one face, evaluate capture quality, estimate landmarks, compare relative proportions, rank Genie Studio templates, and position the approximate 2D preview.
The selected source photo stays in app memory for the current session so you can reopen the preview. The app does not intentionally write that source photo to its own persistent storage or upload it to us.
Temporary style profile
The broad face-shape label, your selected color direction, capture-confidence label, normalized face and eye anchors, relative shape values, and a temporary profile identifier remain in app memory for the current session. They support deterministic recommendations and preview placement. They are not used to identify or authenticate you and are not persisted as a reusable identity template.
4. Local favorites and settings
The app stores the identifiers of Genie Studio templates you favorite and a small flag recording whether you have seen onboarding in local iPhone preferences. It does not store the source photo, landmarks, or temporary style profile in those preferences.
You can remove favorites individually. Delete All Local Data removes favorites and the onboarding flag; clearing the current profile removes the source photo and profile from app memory. Deleting the app removes its remaining local preferences.
5. Saved Look
If you choose Save Look, the app renders the selected photo-based preview and requests add-only Photos access. The exported image is then controlled by your Photos library and your own Photos or iCloud settings. The app does not upload it to our service.
6. App Store subscription status
The app uses Apple StoreKit to request current subscription product information, purchase results, and verified entitlement status. Apple processes your Apple Account, payment details, billing, refunds, and transaction records under Apple’s terms and privacy policy. Sunglass Genie does not receive your complete payment-card details.
Your verified entitlement is used only to decide which Pro features are available. Deleting local app data does not cancel an App Store subscription. See the subscription terms and the support guide for cancellation and restoration steps.
7. How information is used and shared
We use the information described above only to analyze an approved photo on-device, provide deterministic relative style guidance, render and optionally export an approximate 2D preview, remember local favorites and onboarding state, and recognize verified Pro access.
The current release has no Sunglass Genie account or cloud profile sync. We do not sell your source photo, face-analysis data, or favorites. We do not use face, camera, or photo data for advertising, marketing profiles, or cross-company tracking. The app has no advertising, affiliate, analytics, or in-app support-form service.
There are no retailer sales: the app does not provide retailer products, inventory, pricing, affiliate links, checkout, or purchase history. The original Genie Studio templates are artwork used inside the app.
Support email and this site
If you choose to email support or privacy, we receive the email address, message, and any information you include so we can answer and manage the request. Do not send a source photo, Saved Look, facial landmarks, receipt, or other sensitive attachment.
This static site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process network information, such as an IP address and request metadata, to deliver and secure the site under its privacy policy. We do not add analytics, tracking pixels, advertising, cookies, remote fonts, or a contact form to this site.
8. Retention, deletion, and your choices
- Source photo, landmarks, relative values, and style profile: app memory for the current session, until you clear the current profile or all local data, or until the app process ends.
- Favorite template IDs and onboarding state: local preferences until individually removed, all local data is deleted, or the app is deleted.
- Saved Look: your Photos library until you delete it there.
- Pro entitlement: supplied and managed through Apple’s App Store systems.
- Support or privacy email: retained only as reasonably needed to answer, document, or resolve your request, meet legal obligations, or prevent abuse.
You can decline Camera access and choose a photo through Apple’s picker, browse the studio catalog or sample result without a personal photo, remove favorites, clear the current profile, delete all local app data, and delete exported previews in Photos.
We will not ask you to send us a face photo to verify a privacy request.
9. Children
Sunglass Genie is not directed to children under 13. The app does not send us a child’s photo or style profile. If you believe a child has sent personal information to the support or privacy email, contact us so we can review and delete it when appropriate.
10. Security
Current safeguards include on-device photo analysis, memory-only source-photo and profile handling, data minimization, add-only Photos access, app-switcher content shielding, verified StoreKit transactions, and local deletion controls. No security control eliminates all risk.
11. Changes and contact
We may update this policy when the app, services, or law changes. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice or consent when required.
